Thieves green tea soap combines the essential oils of cloves, cinnamon, eucalyptus, rosemary and lemon. The legend behind the Thieves essential oil blend goes back to medieval times when the Black Death was ravaging Europe. Four thieves were arrested and put on trial for stealing from the dead and dying. The judge asked them why they didn't succumb to the plague. The thieves, who were former spice merchants, said they applied to their hands, feet and face these five essential oils and were able to move among the infected without being harmed. The plague was actually spread by fleas so the oils were keeping the fleas away, something they probably weren't aware of at the time. The design of the bar gives a nod to medieval aesthetic and compliments the fragrant spicy experience!
